Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Visitation and Service Policies

For 95 years, the Connell, Dow & Deysenroth Funeral Home has remained deeply committed to responsibly responding to the needs of the communities we are privileged to serve, as well as to the health and well-being of our fellow citizens, the families we serve and our associates.

During the COVID-19 public health emergency (the pandemic) we have continued to stay up to date with changes to Federal and New York State requirements related to funeral service, and have incorporated those changes into our operations.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, new guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and interpretations and recommendations con-currently issued by the New York State Department of Health, the New York State Bureau of Funeral Directing and the New York State Funeral Directors Association have changed masking requirements for fully vaccinated individuals. Individuals are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second dose of the Moderna and Pfizer vaccine, or two weeks after a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Connell, Dow & Deysenroth, Inc. has now updated its mask policy to reflect these changes.
  • Those entering the funeral home who are fully vaccinated are no longer required to wear masks or face coverings.
  • Those entering the funeral home who are not fully vaccinated or who are partially vaccinated are required to wear masks or face coverings while in the funeral home.
Please take care of yourselves and each other, and know that we are here to serve you in your time of need.

Peter A. Deysenroth
Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, Owner and Licensed Manager
