COOPERSTOWN - Frances Davis Randall, formerly of Stony Brook, died Monday morning, August 15, 2011, at Otsego Manor in Cooperstown. She was 90.
Born July 1, 1921, at Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Frances was a daughter of Stephen Augustus Fallon and Eslie Emily (née Davis) Fallon. She was raised on Long Island in Setauket.
On June 6, 1942, she married Joseph Austin Randall in the First Presbyterian Church of Brooklyn. He died in 1971.
For many years Frances was employed as a secretary at Stony Brook University on Long Island.
Frances is survived by two daughters, Nancy Kelly of Cooperstown and Suzanne O'Pray of Midland Park, NJ; two grandchildren, Elizabeth O'Pray and Catherine O'Pray; two step-grandchildren, Kimberly Dolan and Brian J. Murphy; and one sister, Virginia Haigh of West Chester, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Laurel Hayes Murphy, who died August 5, 2004.
The Office of the Burial of the Dead will be offered at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Caroline Church of Brookhaven (Episcopal), 1 Dyke Road, Setauket, with the Rev'd Richard D. Visconti, rector.
The Episcopal Service of Committal and Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Port Jefferson.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in the form of memorial gifts may be made to Susquehanna SPCA, 4841 State Highway 28, Cooperstown, NY 13326.
Arrangements are under the guidance of the Connell, Dow & Deysenroth Funeral Home in Cooperstown.
