UNADILLA - David F. Lewis passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown following a lengthy illness. He was 78 years old.
Born March 24, 1935, David was a son of the late Agnes and Frank Lewis of Highland Mills.
He was a United States Marine veteran who served during the Korean War, and was an avid sportsman and reader.
David is survived by his daughter, Marylouise (Kevin) Dygert; grandson, Christopher Dygert; his sister, Ellen (Ferris) Tomer; brother, Albert (Jan) Lewis; his mother-in-law, Maria Sullivan; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Katherine Sullivan Lewis in April 2012.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Connell, Dow & Deysenroth Funeral Home in Cooperstown.
